Redbone -- Come and Get Your Love

This music video, for the iconic song that made Redbone the first Native American band to achieve a Top 5 single on the Billboard Hot 100, chronicles the experiences of a spiritual traveler who leaves home to explore a new world. The film is inspired by a variety of sources, from graffiti to magical realism, mixing reality with the fantastic, the past with the future, and reexamining pop-culture imagery in the context of contemporary events. "Come and Get Your Love" offers a look into the living and changing culture of Native America in the 21st Century through the eyes of the film's mythic traveler.

We are Water ~ We are One

A song dedicated to the World Water Law and World Water Year 2021. The proposal for a World Water Law invites all of humanity to unite around the radical healing of the planetary Waters and Water cycle. This foundational Law works to ensure that all humans and animals have guaranteed access to natural, uncontaminated Water. It holds each and every individual, organization, business, sector and government fully accountable for their impact on Water. Ultimately, the World Water Law activates a whole-system healing response that addresses many of the root causes of our escalating global challenges. The World Water Law is the first initiative towards the global adoption and implementation of Codes for a Healthy Earth ~ www.codes.earth For more information please visit: https://www.codes.earth/waterlaw

How Sacred Geometry is embedded in Your DNA - Secrets of Geometric Art

"Geometric Art has fascinated me for a long time in many ways and in this video I wanted to demonstrate how geometric form connects the different layers of our realities and I wanted to inspire you to reflect upon the connections that are demonstrated in this video. It has been a long journey leading up to this video. This introduction video summarizes my understanding of Geometric Design & Art. Something that I wanted to do for a long time but was not yet capable of because of the vast amount of information related to this knowledge. I have finally finished a part of the challenge. Yet it essentially is nothing more than a short introduction of this subject." ~Dearing Wang

Wholeness is the Medicine of Our Times

earth_ListeningToEarthsHeartbeart1.jpg

(ART: Mary Southard)

We are living in unprecedented times. The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has completely shifted our understanding of ourselves and the interconnected reality we live in. This global wake-up call has created a unifying pathway to embody wholeness, expand unity awareness, and generate large-impact sustained change. We have a unique opportunity to fundamentally transform all of our outdated and dysfunctional social systems with a deeper understanding of wholeness.

This universal call to action will be more wholly efficacious when considered a radical, transformative reset for personal, cultural, and planetary whole-systems health and healing. Considered within the lens of conscious evolution and a whole worldview, our emergent response to myriad growing challenges must align with the ancient wisdom and new science of unitive wholeness, using nature’s design and the principles of Life for the good of the whole.

No Time to Rush

The coming days and months will be increasingly contentious. But we need not fall prey to the spreading divisiveness and factionalism. Among its less heartening effects, the global pandemic has spawned countervailing trends of, on the one hand, a sensed need to get things under control and take our life back and, on the other, a sensed helplessness and impotence in the face of what is being perceived as an invisible agent of death. Framed this way, we appear to be living in little more than a Darwinian dystopia of the survival of the fittest, with “Nature, red in tooth and claw” (as Lord Tennyson so powerfully penned), at our doorstep and coughing down our neck. Only this time, we can’t see the agents — can’t hear them stalking us, can’t smell, touch, or in any way sense their presence. Indeed, not even the tools of science can assuage our doubts and provide succor. Some have even dubbed this “Schrödinger’s Virus” due to the fact that we must act as though we have the virus (so as not to spread it) and as though we do not have it (and are not immune to possibly getting infected by it), at the same time. This is the dominant narrative we tell ourselves, through news outlets, social media, and often the voice in the mirror.

When Humanity Emerges from the Unknown

bob_atkinson.jpeg

With this global pandemic, and its decree to ‘stay at home,’ we have all been given a rare opportunity to experience together a collective time of retreat and withdrawal. We did not ask for this, we may not want it, but this is being given to us for a good reason.

The wording we use to describe what we are experiencing determines the way we experience it. Thinking ‘lock down,’ even ’stay at home,’ gives us a fearful, anxious view of what is happening, while thinking in terms of the archetypal experience this whole thing represents gives us a much more holistic and hopeful way of understanding its purpose for us.

Running throughout world mythology, where deep truths reside, is a pattern of transformation made up of many archetypes — types of experiences necessary to complete this recurring pattern. Each archetype in this pattern has its own time and purpose. One of those timeless, universal archetypes, known variously as The Night Sea Journey, Joseph in the Well, the Temple Interior, and Jonah in the Belly of the Whale, comes into our lives to swallow us into the unknown whenever there is a need for us to slow down, leave the familiar behind, retreat from whatever we’re doing, turn inward, reassess everything we thought we knew, and refocus. It’s not just a matter of waiting out whatever storm it happens to be; it is much more a time of reevaluation and reappraisal. This is meant to be a time of quickening, of going inward for renewal, and for reminding us who we really are.

Experiencing this archetype together, as one human family facing the exact same challenge in the same way at the same time, is indeed rare. It may never have happened before in recorded history, the way it is happening globally now. The threshold guardians, gargoyles, and dragons that normally block the entrance to this realm have disappeared so we can all experience the higher silences within, together, all at once. That’s how late it is.

Entering this unknown realm carries with it an impending metamorphosis. It is time for us all to shed our outer character, die to the limitations of time, and prepare to return, committed to building the world anew. Having us turn inward and focus on where we are going and what is needed to get there, is the universe’s way of ensuring that the collective transformation already underway will be completed, and that the evolutionary impulse is consciously carried out.

Humanity is becoming more aware now of our collective responsibility to use this time of reflection to our mutual benefit. The urgency of taking action now, before it is too late, is more apparent than ever.

Experiencing this archetype of retreat into the unknown together as one human family has come at this time to demonstrate that fear does not help, all things do pass, and the Imperishable remains. This common experience is taking us one step closer to the new world we envision. It is giving us deeper insight into our inherent interdependence.

Collectively slowing down and turning inward, we’re seeing more now than we thought we ever knew. When humanity finally emerges from this retreat into the unknown, we’ll come out knowing for sure that:

· We are living in transformative times;

· We can feel more empathy and compassion toward others;

· We can appreciate more the things we have, and give of them more freely;

· We are not only more connected than we thought, we are inseparable;

· Our collective strength is dependent upon our unified action;

· We can trust — and live more by — our collective wisdom;

· We can nurture a spirit of common endeavor;

· We can place the sanctity of existence above all else; and,

· We can foster a spiritual consciousness that embraces all humanity.

Add your own insights and realizations to this list; what are you learning from this experience of turning inward at this time? What will you know for sure from having been thrust into the unknown during this global pandemic?

The Story of the Sacred Tree

“For all the people of the earth, the Creator has planted a Sacred Tree under which they may gather, and there find healing, power, wisdom, and security. The roots of this tree spread deep into the body of Mother Earth. Its branches reach upward like hands praying to Father Sky. The fruits of this tree are the good things the Creator has given to the people: Teachings that show the path to love, compassion, generosity, patience, wisdom, justice, courage, respect, humility and many other wonderful gifts.

Fervently Wise

We are living in extraordinary times of change. This is an understatement indeed. I write to you this day with much compassion and care for your wellbeing. I have been saying lately that we are getting our PHD as human beings:

*Patience *Humility *Discernment. This time is full of both grief and gifts, chaos and emergence. We are being forged in the fires of transformation. Adversity is a powerful personal trainer.

Fear is a heavy weight to lift. We have all built circuitry to respond to these times of 'high alert' with a constant vigilance that saps us of our vitality, robs us of our peace of mind. We are being invited to grow a new musculature of compassion, resilience and self love more than ever before in our lives. Truly, all that is not essential is being distilled as we find how little we really need to be happy, how more sleep and less hurry offer our bodies and minds a much needed opportunity to reset and rejuvenate.

Love Like There's No Tomorrow

We live in extraordinary times. Life as we knew it, is not. Our experience of life on this planet is changing in such a rapid and dramatic fashion that our yesterdays are quickly rendered unrecognizable with each new today.

We face urgent, complex social, political, economic, environmental, and healthcare crises. Attempts to manage or solve these issues with the old mindset will not work. Einstein said, No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. You have to see the world anew.” The COVID-19 pandemic has created the ideal conditions for profound and essential whole-systems change, enabling whole-systems healing and whole-systems health. These unprecedented times are ushering in a radical transformation of consciousness.

Your State of Wholeness

"Throughout our lives we long to love ourselves more deeply and to feel connected with others. Instead, we often contract, fear intimacy, and suffer a bewildering sense of separation. We crave love, and yet we are lonely. Our delusion of being separate from one another, of being apart from all that is around us, gives rise to all of this pain." ~ Sharon Salzberg
This is the perfect time for us to practice a shift in consciousness. The delusion of separation causes of pain. The false belief in separation creates contraction, fear and suffering. And now, we've been asked to self-quarantine and practice "social distancing." Much of our world is locked down. Many are feeling isolated, alone, and disconnected from loved ones. However, this virus is demonstrating how we are not separate; we are interconnected and interrelated with everyone and everything. We are inter-being. We are whole as one living system. Take a moment, become aware of your breath, and come back into your state of wholeness.
